Ear Candles - Treatment Suggestions

The build up of wax in the ear can cause a variety of difficulties. It's thought that ear candles can assist in the relief of these conditions as they gently remove wax from the ear.

As with any treatment, traditional or holistic, the effectiveness of ear candling will vary from patient to patient for a number of reasons.

As is the case with any health problem, your first port of call should be to your doctor, particularly if you suffer from ear infections or if your balance or hearing is severely impaired.

Ear candles are not a recognised cure for any condition and although they can be effective in many cases, there could always be an underlying condition that requires expert medical attention.

Ear-Candles.co.uk is not a medical site, it does not offer medical advice and the information presented is for research purposes only.

All that said, there are plenty of people who swear by the effectiveness of ear candles and who undergo regular treatments.

There is no question that the treatment itself is extremely relaxing and that they induce a pleasant heat upon the head and ears, which itself can be revitalising.

We recommend that you use an ear candle practitioner for the best results, as they will usually provide gentle face massage with essential oils as part of the treatment.

It's also safer, because you have another person present to ensure that the ear candling treatment is performed safely. With any product like this, there is the potential for burning, so it makes sense to have the treatment applied, rather than doing it yourself.

Conditions Suitable For Ear Candle Treatment?

  • Excessive or compacted wax in the ears (see patients comments)

This isn't an exhaustive list however and some people claim that recurring headaches have been significantly reduced following treatment.

As we said, always check with your GP first if you are concerned about your health or in doubt.
